What is FSU Canoe?

Your Gateway to the Outdoors

The FSU Center for Advancement of Natural and Outdoor Experiences (CANOE) is a program of the Department of Recreation and Parks Management at Frostburg State University. FSU CANOE is a dedicated center at Frostburg State University that serves as a catalyst for advancing outdoor and natural experiences for students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community. This center will serve as a hub of knowledge, resources, and engagement, offering many opportunities to enrich individuals’ connections with the outdoors, fostering personal growth, education, and lifelong outdoor exploration. The center will facilitate access to outdoor equipment, resources, quality outdoor recreation activities, field experiences, internships, and student employment in the outdoor industry to enhance personal, professional, and academic growth.

Through innovative programming, resources, and partnerships, we aim to create a vibrant and inclusive community that thrives on the transformative power of outdoor exploration and environmental stewardship.
